AJ Turner Bending jig

Palatine Models 2012
Palatine Models
The AJ Turner bending jig was designed by Graham Turner to make the manufacture of the AJ coupling a simple and accurate process. It produces AJ couplings consistently and ensures that all the couplings you make are correct and the same every time. It removes the problems associated with making accurate angle bends.

The jig is designed around 11 thou wire but it might be possible to adapt it to use other sizes of wire but we have not tried it. We recommend its use in 4mm scale only. 12BA nuts and bolts and some wire will be needed to assemble this jig and they are not provided in the kit.

This fret also includes provision for making the Turner dropper jig.

The Turner jigs are described on page 38 in the book 'Alex Jackson, The Man and the Coupling' written by Dave Booth and published by the Scalefour Society.

See the AJ page for costs.
